Orphanage
Our Orphan Project – Helping where responsibility alone is no longer enough
Some projects aren’t planned – they emerge out of necessity.
That’s how our orphan project came to life.
Doctors at our health center repeatedly report heartbreaking cases: women giving birth and leaving their babies behind. When we learned of these situations, it became clear that we had to act. This project was born out of compassion and a sense of responsibility.
During our visits to nearby villages, we also encounter elderly people who have lost their daughters and are now raising their grandchildren alone. Some of them are over 90 years old – yet they carry the full burden of childcare.
These circumstances moved us deeply.
Our orphan project offers support exactly where it is most needed: for children without parents – and for those who care for them despite their own limitations.
The orphanage is located about 5 km from our health center.
There, the children receive not only a safe home, but also regular meals, access to education, and loving care in their daily lives.
From the age of 15, we offer them the opportunity to begin vocational training in one of our workshops or facilities – a path toward independence, dignity, and a better future.
